1. Who we are
Brown Dutch Iconic sells eyewear online within South Africa. Full supplier details required by section 43 of ECTA are listed on our Company Information page.

2. Products and prices
All prices are recommended retail prices in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT where applicable. Delivery fees, if any, are shown before you pay.
Product photographs are representative. Optical frames are supplied with demonstration lenses, which are not prescription lenses. Prescription lenses must be fitted by a registered optometrist.
We try to keep information accurate. If a price is obviously wrong, we will contact you before processing your order and you may cancel for a full refund.
3. Placing an order
Your order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed only when we confirm the order by email or WhatsApp after successful payment. We may decline an order if stock is unavailable, in which case any payment will be refunded in full.
You may review and correct your bag at any time before paying.
4. Payment
Card payments are processed by Yoco Technologies (Pty) Ltd. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay and other methods shown at checkout. Card transactions may require 3D Secure authentication from your bank.
We never see or store your full card details. Payment security is described in our Payment Security policy.
5. Delivery
Delivery is governed by our Shipping & Delivery policy.
6. Cooling-off, returns and refunds
Your rights to cancel, return and be refunded are set out in our Returns, Refunds & Cancellation policy and are in addition to your rights under the CPA and ECTA.
7. Virtual fitting
The virtual fitting studio is a visual preview only. It is not a clinical fit, frame-size measurement or pupillary distance (PD) measurement. Photos and camera images are processed in your browser and are not uploaded to us.
8. Accounts and wholesale
You are responsible for keeping your login details secure. Optometry wholesale access is granted only after we verify the applying practice; we may refuse or withdraw access.
9. Intellectual property
The Brown Dutch Iconic name, bd emblem, photographs and site content belong to Brown Dutch Iconic and may not be copied without written permission.
10. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the CPA. To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect loss arising from use of the website.
11. Disputes and governing law
Please contact us first so we can resolve any complaint. If unresolved, you may approach the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud (CGSO, www.cgso.org.za) or the National Consumer Commission. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. The version published at the time of your order applies to that order.
